Hi friend, I'm back with Day 4 of your Baby Prep Advent! Our family loves to travel and before every trip a packing list circulates through the house. It's usually on a piece of copy paper and each person checks off as they pack and then passes the list along to the next person. Without the list we'd forget things like retainers and contacts. So today my gift to you is a hospital bag checklist. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- π YOUR DAY 4 GIFT: Some of my doula clients have their bag packed right at the 36 week mark, others are packing it between contractions. I always recommend starting to pack early and keeping a notes file of what you want to throw in before you leave - like medications or your glasses. I've included a section for your partner too. If he/she can stay with you at the hospital that would be best. π CLICK HERE to grab The Hospital Bag Checklist π You won't see diapers, formula or a swaddle on that list. Anything you need for the baby (except for the outfit to come home) will be provided by the hospital. π€ NEWBORN NUGGET "Can I send you a picture of his diaper?" Doula clients ask this all the time. Newborn poop looks nothing like what most people are expecting and it changes a lot, especially in the first week. Your baby's first poop is called meconium. It's black and has the consistency of tar. After that it usually transitions to yellow or greenish and is often very runny, Don't be alarmed if it looks like diarrhea. ππΌ ONE SMALL THING TO DO TODAY Print out or screenshot The Hospital Bag Checklist and start to think about what bag you're going to use. Some people use a small rollerboard suitcase, other people prefer a duffel bag. Just start to think about if you have what you're going to use or if it's something you need to buy. **If you missed the previous days of the Baby Prep Advent click here to catch up** Happy Tuesday my friend. Hi Reader, SO SORRY THE LAST EMAIL HAD THE WORNG LINK, THE CORRECT ONE IS BELOW. We're on Day 7 of your Baby Prep Advent. π For a lot of new parents grandparents are at the center of their village of support. Whether you live near your parents or in-laws or if you plan to travel there often it can be helpful to lighten the packing load by keeping a few things at their house. Today's gift will help you figure out what they might want to have on hand....

It's Day 6 of your Baby Prep Advent π Getting the nursery ready is one of the most exciting parts of baby prep for so many of my doula clients. But when it comes to baby clothes, almost everyone asks the same thing: βHow many onesies do I actually need? What about sleepers?β It can be hard to know whatβs essential and whatβs just βnice to have,β so todayβs gift will make that part easy. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- π YOUR DAY 6 GIFT: Baby...
