Day 6: 🎁: exact numbers of the baby clothes you'll need

It's Day 6 of your Baby Prep Advent 🎄

Getting the nursery ready is one of the most exciting parts of baby prep for so many of my doula clients.

But when it comes to baby clothes, almost everyone asks the same thing:

“How many onesies do I actually need? What about sleepers?”

It can be hard to know what’s essential and what’s just “nice to have,” so today’s gift will make that part easy.

🎁 YOUR DAY 6 GIFT:
Baby Clothing Checklist

This checklist gives you a simple list of the clothing most babies use in the first few months so no overbuying, no guessing, no worrying that you don’t have enough.

Why parents love this list:

• it keeps your nursery feeling calm and uncluttered

• you have exactly what you need on hand so no last-minute Target runs

🤔 NEWBORN NUGGET

Don’t worry if you feel behind on getting the nursery ready or don’t have the budget to finish it before baby arrives.

The truth is: your baby won’t spend much time in there during the early months.

The current AAP recommendation is for babies to sleep in their parents’ room for the first 6 months.

Many parents feel like this is a long time (newborns are noisy sleepers!), if you decide to move your baby to the nursery before 6 months, just check in with your pediatrician.

🙌🏼 ONE SMALL THING TO DO TODAY

Think about where your baby will sleep in your room.

A few options my doula clients love:
• a play yard
• a bassinet
• the Snoo

If you’re curious about the Snoo, here’s a video where I answer FAQs.

🎁 If you're just joining the Baby Prep Advent you can get the previous days' free gifts HERE.

You should be so proud of yourself for preparing before your baby is here 💛.
See you tomorrow, with another gift!

xoxo,

It is Day 5 and today’s gift is a good one Reader! Something I hear all the time from my doula clients is:“I want to breastfeed… but I want to pump too, so I'm not the only one who can feed the baby.” If you’re planning to pump so your partner (or someone else) can help with feeding, you are definitely not alone. If you're like a lot of my doula clients and aren’t sure when to start pumping, what pumping supplies you need, or how to prepare before the baby arrives, you're going to love today's...
